Lauren's Bridal Portraits - Boulder, CO

Yesterday morning I drove down to Boulder to photograph Lauren's bridal portraits. We had so much fun. Lauren used to model. She is one of the most photogenic brides I have ever photographed. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

Jenny & Scott's Wedding - Vail Mountain

On Tuesday, my husband Ryan & I traveled to Vail to photograph Jenny & Scott's wedding. The ceremony was held on the mountain. The view was amazing! Their family gathered around as they said their vows. After the "I do's", we had an hour to take photos of the Jenny & Scott. As we took pictures, a storm rolled into the valley below making an amazing backdrop of thunderclouds. Jenny & Scott - It was great getting to know you guys! Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day! Yours is one of my favorite weddings to date!

Jamie & Eric's Wedding - Keystone Lodge

I was honored to photograph Jamie & Eric's wedding on July 7th. Their small ceremony was the first wedding on the terrace at Keystone Lodge. It was breathtaking! Jamie is a reading teacher, so it was only fitting that they read exerts from "The Velveteen Rabbit" & "The Little Prince" at their ceremony. I treasure the fact that every couple I meet loves each other uniquely. Jamie & Eric were so genuine - you could tell that their love was real & steadfast. Jamie was glowing! She had this amazing laugh that flooded the room. I loved it! Jamie & Eric, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day! I know that you will have a wonderful life together!

Corrine & Chad's Engagement Photos

On Sunday, I traveled down to Littleton to photograph engagements of Corinne & Chad. I was so fun getting to know them a little better. Corrine has the greatest laugh. They were so laid back and easy to work with - I can't wait to photograph their wedding in the fall! What a great couple!

Shon & Elisha's Wedding - Denver Botanic Gardens

Last Sunday, my husband Ryan & I photographed Elisha & Shon's Wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Elisha & Shon grew up together. Their budding romance blossomed as they both discovered their love for music and started their band Crovax. It was so fun to photograph the band play at the reception. My favorite moment at the wedding was the toast Shon's father, Michael made. Before the wedding Elisha asked Michael if he would escort her down the aisle at the ceremony. He was so touched by the request & was very excited to welcome Elisha into their family. Elisha & Shon - we loved getting to know you guys! It is so obvious that you guys were meant to be!

Olga & Jade's Wedding - Garden of the Gods

Last Friday, my husband Ryan and I traveled down to Colorado Springs to photograph Olga & Jade's wedding. The ceremony was located at the American Mother's Chapel at Rock Ledge Ranch. I thought it was so special that Olga's sister Sophia performed the marriage ceremony. It was an intimate moment that they will surely cherish! After the "I do's", I was able to spend an entire hour with Olga & Jade at the Garden of the Gods. Not only was I able to get some great photos, but got to know them a bit. And as fate would have it, when I was getting started in Austin I took Olga's best friend's bridal portraits. Small world, huh! Jodi & Kris' Wedding

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing Jodi & Kris' wedding at the Hyatt Hotel in Denver. One of the things I love most about photographing weddings is all of the emotions - joy, laughter, excitement, and of course... nervousness! Before the ceremony, something unexpected happened and Jodi was worried. But the second she turned down the aisle toward Kris, she laughed and an amazing calm came over her. The train on Jodi's dress was fabulous; especially from my vantage point on the balcony! After the ceremony, I pulled them aside to get some photographs of them together. Once I told them to kiss they could do little else! They were pretty excited about being married to say the least.

The Autumn Film - "the best band to come out of nowhere"

The Autumn Film was voted "THE BEST BAND TO COME OUT OF NOWHERE in 2007" by Denver's Westword Magazine. I have known the lead, Tifah Al-Attas, for most of my life... but I recently got the chance to meet the rest of the band when I took photos for their new CD & website which was released in early January. They are amazing in every sense of the word! Check out their tour schedule... they are a must see. To hear some of their tunes, go to their website http://www.theautumnfilm.com/. If you are in need of wedding musicians, they are your band... they feature violin, standing bass, cello, guitar, & piano. Also (I must rave some more), Tifah is an amazing artist. One of her paintings will grace the cover of Ruminate Magazine's summer issue.
